Community Programs

Being a good neighbor is part of our mission at American Water. We are dedicated to Tennessee and do make sure we show it.

We give back to the community by supporting local schools and organizations like the United Way and the Tennessee Aquarium. We support innovative, environmental programs that improve, protect or restore drinking water supplies and surrounding watersheds, as well educate Tennesseans about the value and importance of water.

Tennessee American Water also sponsors different events including the Chattanooga Food Bank, who we helped donate food to more than 1,000 families, the River Rescue Event and the Elementary Science & Math Olympiad, which is designed to increase student interest in math and science.

We support customers in our communities with our Project Water Help program. Customers who want to contribute to Project Water Help can add $1 to their bills. Tennessee American Water will give those customer contributions to the local United Way.
